The Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearing Scheduled for tomorrow, February 21st, has been canceled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

Notice is hereby given that the Burton Village Board of Public Affairs will conduct a special meeting that will include a Public Hearing on motions which would modify sections 119, 202 and 303 of the Board of Public Affairs Rules and Regulations to change from quarterly billing to monthly billing.The special meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00 pm, in the Village Offices, 2nd floor, Burton Pubic Library.
The Resolutions proposing these amendments to the Board of Public Affairs Rules and Regulations will be available for examination at the Burton Village Offices, 2nd Floor, Burton Public Library, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm through February 26, 2019.
After the conclusion of the Public Hearing, the matter will be submitted to the Board of Public Affairs for its action.

The Village of Burton has teamed up with WasteManagement to offer Burton Village residents a Single Hauler Trash Program that will become effective April 1, 2019. All residents will automatically be enrolled in the standard service level of a 96-gallon trash cart and a 64-gallon recycle cart at a rate of $16.50 per month. **To choose a different service level, be sure to return the postcard you'll be receiving from WasteManagement in the coming days.** A senior rate is available. Also available is "low volume bag service." Recycling will take place every 2 weeks. All standard service level customers will get a recycle tote; bag customers have the option of adding recycling service at a rate of $4.50/month. More information here.

Exciting news, Village Residents! Tired of misplacing your Utility bill? Would you like your utility bill emailed to you, instead? Maybe you'd like to log in and view your current (or past!) bills, online. Soon you will be able to view and/or print your utility bills online; set up ACH recurring payments; pay be e-check; and/or pay over the phone! We will also be taking credit card payments online, or in person (when paying online using a credit card or e-check, there are nominal fees charged by our third party processor). More info to follow!
Please note: The Board of Public Affairs recently updated the Rules and Regulations to state that any water and sewer bill not paid by the due date (a delinquent account) AND with a balance of $500 or greater will have services shut off s (please note: the bill must be LATE AND OVER $500). Payment plans are available to anyone who is having trouble paying their water/sewer bill. If you are making regularly scheduled payments on a payment plan, your account is not delinquent.

Mayor Joe Hernandez, Village Arborist Debbie Palmisano and Tree Commission member Matt Markiewicz handed out free Golden Rain seedings during Arbor Day 2018, held on October 13, in the Village Park. Despite the rain and cold temperatures, everyone had a wonderful time! Mayor Hernandez is seen here, reading the Arbor Day Proclamation.
